What we collect, which is almost nothing
Last updated 2026-08-23. This covers the Sonarless website. The Android app is covered separately at the bottom.
The website
If you put your address in the waitlist box, we store that address and the time you submitted it. Nothing else. There is no analytics on this site, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no cookies set by us.
The address is used for one thing: to email you when the app reaches the Play Store. It is not sold, rented or shared. If you never submit the form, nothing about you is stored at all.
Who else can see it
The list is held in a Supabase database, and the site is served by Vercel. Both are processors acting for us, and both keep standard server logs that include IP addresses for a short period, which is normal for any website you visit.
Removing yourself
Email [contact address pending: set CONTACT in tools/landing/build_site.py] and ask, and the record is deleted. You do not have to explain why, and there is no confirmation step designed to talk you out of it. Every waitlist email also carries an unsubscribe link.
The Android app
The app is a separate matter and collects less. Your marks, your catches and your location stay on the phone. Location is used to show where you are on the map and is never transmitted. The offline map needs no account and no connection.
Connected features are planned: photo sharing, messaging and finding other anglers. Those obviously need a network and an account, and they will be opt in. This page will be updated before any of it ships, rather than after.
Changes
If this changes, the date at the top changes with it. Anyone on the waitlist when a material change happens gets told by email.
